OUR PROJECT

The GNERA group was created to participate in the transition towards a new energy model, assuming the dual mission of integrating new energy sources and new technology, while using the most efficient resources to achieve sustainable and durable development.

GNERA manages an annual average of renewable energy equivalent to the power generated by a medium-sized nuclear power station or to the consumption of a city of over 500,000 inhabitants. To achieve this, at GNERA we develop and operate systems using the most advanced technology, for efficient energy management.

The services and products offered by GNERA contribute to increased efficiency in energy production, improved distribution and fewer pollutants being released into the environment.

SCOPE

There are two fundamental reasons behind why it is so difficult to integrate renewable energies into the energy system. First, there is the complexity of storing the electrical energy they generate, and second, there is the fact that the sources they come from (such as wind and sun) are not manageable, or in other words, they are unpredictable. This is why the scope of our project has been designed on the basis of three pillars that we consider to be indispensable for achieving a high penetration of renewable energies into the system:

• Supporting the evolution of the electricity market and the electricity network, by operating and monitoring power stations, to adapt to the new and increasingly demanding regulations related to the requirements for managing renewables
• Installing new technology, and adapting pre-existing technology, to the functional requirements of companies in the sector
• Research and innovation in energy processes, to enable the appropriate change towards reducing the cost of utilising renewables

In this way, the services and solutions that we develop and offer will enable suitable growth of sustainable energies

OUR REFERENCES

The portfolio of power plants generating electrical energy using renewable energy sources or high-efficiency systems that we provide our services for are distributed all over Spain, and use a wide range of generation approaches, which enables us to gain considerable knowledge of all technologies.
